Long, dark hair. Dewy, khol-rimmed eyes. Ripe young lips just made for kissing.

Guys like that are dime a dozen.

Wild Bill likes a little edge on his playmates, and Michael's got the whole package going on—plus a loaded gun in his leather jacket, and an unquenchable obsession with vampires.

Michael's managed to follow a breadcrumb trail Bill didn't even know he was leaving, and the kid's got a few new tricks up his sleeve. Hopefully the latest addition to his arsenal doesn't include a wooden stake with Wild Bill's name on it. But anything can happen in the dark.

Adored this. The perspective change, the view of Michael through Wild Bill's eyes, that absolutely sweet moment of first time and just how clever Michael is to catch his vampire love. This series is so unique and I just adore it. The characters are gritty and interesting with a realism to them I really enjoy for the paranormal theme. I just feel like Michael is growing through each encounter and this one makes me think even a vamp like Bill will be growing too, just to keep up.

Also, it was totally hot--I know, probably should have been the first thing to mention, but I adore these characters and how they're portrayed. No sap, just that perfect mix of sweet emotions and angst I feel really embodies the goth/vamp pairing.

Vertigo Channeling Morpheus 2 eBook Jordan Castillo Price Reviews

Normally, I write much longer reviews, but given there are ten books here, it's going to be short and sweet. This series is the perfect mixture of great characters and gritty action. I am dying for this series to be made into a TV show.

VERTIGO continues the story in Wild Bill's point of view. Michael's on the hunt again...this time he's looking for Wild Bill for a whole different reason. Bill should stay away from the homicidal vamp hunter, but the chemistry between them won't let him run away. I think my favorite thing about this book is seeing how these characters click into place with each other. The writing is fabulous and subtle. I didn't mention this in my review of the first book, but dang the sex in these books is hot! Keep a fire extinguisher handy as you read.
A kick-ass series, from start to finish. Hot, sexy, great characters and, most important, great stories. The only complaint I have is each one was not long enough! Wild Bill is one of the best vampire characters I've ever read and I've read ALOT of vampire stories. No old, tired vampire cliches here. Read and enjoy!
Michael and Wild Bill..... Wow. I really just need to read these all one after the other, they are so cool, but so short! Really chapters of a whole, not individual stories. I loved the first one, loved this one, and I bet I'll love the others! Great characters, we are learning more about them each story, they get a bit more depth and detail, I can't wait to see what comes next!

JCP is a fabulous author!
Channeling Morpheus is my favorite vampire series of all time!
There is a very good reason for that being the case. It's superb.
Think all vampire stories are the same, but different? Think again. This is totally different, in a GOOD way.
I'm actually reading Channeling Morpheus again for the fourth time. I enjoy it more each time I read it.

The characters are brilliantly written. Wild Bill is quite simply, THE hottest vampire of all time. He really is. He's tall, gorgeous and a total smartass. Basically, he's my perfect male, personified. *THUD*
And Michael may be young; but he's alluring, captivating and HOT! He manages to captivate Bill from the start - even if Bill can't admit it to himself. I absolutely love the way their relationship develops. It's a pleasure to spend time with them.
I can't get enough of these two together. The dynamic between them is like an electrical current. They are a powerful force - in every possible way.

The series is dark and edgy; but it's also filled with wry humor, and it's a pleasure to witness their relationship develop - which makes it a delightful read. The reason I chose the word 'witness', is because that's how BRILLIANT JCP's writing is. I'm completely drawn into their world.
I can't even describe how much fun it is to 'hang out' with them. But believe me, you're in for a WILD ride!

Vertigo (CM 2) is told from Wild Bill's point of view.

Excerpt

**Potential spoiler alert**

I wasn't gonna go there. Meant to dig my heels in and stay right where I was. Talk some sense into him. Make sure he realized that I wasn't going to play cat and mouse with him, not tonight. Not ever. But then I was staring into his eyes without even realizing that I'd covered the distance between us, and the scent of his blood welled around us, heady and rich. My mouth watered. My teeth ached. My whole body yearned for him.
I told myself it wouldn't be so bad to engage in a little cleanup. All that perfectly good nourishment going to waste. Plat. Plat. Plat. I grabbed him by the fingertips. He didn't resist me, holding his arm limp even though the rest of him was on high alert. I'd been worrying about vamping his mind, and he'd reeled me in. ~

**THUD**

This series is my absolute favorite, and I have read most of the vampire series out there. It gets my highest recommendation.
Another sexual encounter to drive the plot, takes center stage in Vertigo, as it did in Payback. Only this time the catalyst is lust not murder. The MC's inability to deny lust as one is unable to deny hunger radiates through this novelette.

What else is new in Vertigo besides the catalyst? Surprisingly, the POV. Having the honor of being in Wild Bill's head for this ride was successfully exhilarating when it could have destroyed the charismatic aura built around him in Payback - but Price pulled it off. Price writes in an About This Book afterward, that she didn't want to ruin the aura that Wild Bill's "eloquently trashy turns of phrases" (her words) evoked - and she didn't. The aura wasn't ruined and the characterization contained. Wild Bill thinks as he speaks - cleverly, amusingly dryly and with a crude directness.

In this second addition in the series, Michael's black and white slated view on vampires begins to mingle to gray as he succumbs to lust and the intriguing pull of Wild Bill. He also demonstrates to Wild Bill and the reader that green he may be, but resourceful he is. In Payback, Michael's attraction to Wild Bill is as obvious as the reader's attraction to him, but why Bill is attracted to naïve, emo Michael, if his attraction isn't just a guise, is unclear. The ability to see Michael through Wild Bill's eyes clarifies Bill's draw to Michael - adding an element of interest to Michael not noticed in Payback.

Switching the POV in the second novelette could have been a series ending move, but Price got in Wild Bill's head for a successful sequel. And even more impressive, being in Wild Bill's head didn't detract any of the mystery surrounding him.
